Overview
AgentShift is a catalog of 211 AI tools in 18 categories, searchable and filterable by security and privacy standards such as SOC 2 and HIPAA, paired with seven learning tracks on moving from doing the work yourself to directing AI agents. I built it entirely by voice, and every page carries its own custom-coded animation, from a flocking particle simulation to a school of fish that splits, balls up and chases a leader.
What it does

The story
AI tools are arriving everywhere, and few people know what each one does or whether it meets their security requirements. AgentShift gathers them in one catalog and teaches the shift from doing the work yourself to directing the agents that do it.
How it’s built
I built AgentShift entirely by voice. I directed AI coding agents by speaking to them, never typed a line of its code, and still maintain it that way. Behind its pages runs far more custom animation code than most visitors will notice.
- Built by voice
- SuperWhisper turns what I say into structured instructions and passes them straight to Claude Code, which writes the code. Every change since launch has been made the same way.
- A custom particle engine
- One background runs a physics simulation written for the site, in which particles drift on wind gusts and turbulence and flock together. A spatial index keeps each particle’s neighbour lookups fast.
- An animation for every page
- Each page has its own scene, drawn frame by frame by code written for it. On the home page a school of fish splits, balls up and chases a leader; elsewhere agents leave trails behind them like ants, and a single voice sends out a branching tree of tasks.
- Considerate of every screen
- When a device requests reduced motion, each animation renders a finished still frame instead, and on high-density displays the animations do less work to stay smooth.
